Delcam UK has moved into larger offices within its parent company’s Birmingham headquarters. The expanded, refurbished area includes new training rooms to meet the increased demand for both introductory and update courses from the growing number of customers, plus a larger area for the recently expanded support team.

“So far this year, software sales in the UK have increased by more than 30% compared with 2011,” reported Delcam UK General Manager, Steve Creron. “2012 is likely to see our UK business grow faster than our international business for the first time in many years.”

“Much of our recent success results from the increased investment in automotive and aerospace production in the UK,” admitted Mr. Creron. “These are our two most important industries so we would expect their recent growth to be reflected in higher levels of sales. In addition, I believe that we are winning a higher market share because companies value the large investment Delcam is making in product development and the size and experience of our support team.”

“Our close relationships with suppliers of machine tools and cutting tools have also been an important part of our success, with a growing number of these companies recommending our software. Working in partnership with these companies means that our customers can gain the maximum benefit from their Delcam software on a wide range of equipment.”

The strength of these relationships was in clear evidence at the recent MACH exhibition, where many of the machine tool suppliers were running demonstrations programmed on Delcam software. Recommendations from its partners helped Delcam UK to win over £200,000 of orders during the show.

Despite adding several new staff already this year, Mr. Creron is still keen to add more experienced engineers to the company. “We are particularly keen to add more people to our support and training teams so that we can maintain our high levels of service for our increased number of customers,” he commented.
